Lloret de Mar is in the south of the Costa Brava, 70 Km from Barcelona, and covers 47 Km2 with five main beaches and a total of 7 Km of coastline. The EU has awarded its beaches the Blue Flag, which is a benchmark guaranteeing the highest of standards both in terms of the quality of the water and the sand and of the services.The history of Lloret dates back to the third and second centuries BC. Throughout all these years of history, Lloret, despite being a modern and dynamic tourist town, has retained its personality and preserved the symbols of identity and tradition which only time can bestow.
